Description Scenario of your tour You will depart from your hotel at about 7.30 a.m. The journey to Kinabalu National Park takes roughly 2½ hours drive through scenic countryside and beautiful mountain range. A brief stop at Nabalu market will give you the opportunity to buy local handicrafts and local fruits. Upon arrival at Kinabalu National Park, you will be check-in at one of the hotels in that area before you will have your lunch. After that, you will have your free own leisure. At the Kinabalu National Park, you will be able to participate in a guided jungle walk and experience the beauty of the rainforest. And for lovers of different species of plant, a visit to the Mountain Garden is a must because in that garden you can find various species of plants. If you want to know more about the significant of the plants, you have a ready available naturalist who is ever ready to give explanation to you about the plants.

Itinerary

Day
1

MOUNT KINABALU ASCEND

- On the 1st day of the adventure trip,you will depart at 7.30 am from your hotel.During your journey,you will passes through the panoramic scenic of the countryside and you can clearly view the beautiful mountain range.Soon after you arrive at the Kinabalu Park headquarters,you are required to register your name and passport number.

At about 9.30 am,you will be transfer to the Timpohon gate,which located at 1866.4metres above the sea level and from there you will proceed to Laban Rata that may take 4 - 6 hours walk.

Along the trail,you will be able to see for yourself different vegetations.There are 6 shelters where you can take your rest while at the same time,enjoying the panoramic view of the rainforest.By late afternoon,you should be able to reach Laban Rata,check-in into your dormitory and after that you will be given your free own leisure.You will be served with dinner before your overnight stay at this site as a preparation for your walk to the summit.

2

LOW'S PEAK/SUMMIT

On the next morning,at 2.30 am,you will be given a wake up call,there you must get ready your flashlight as you will be needed it to help you through your walk along the dark trails of the final journey,which takes 30 minutesto get to the highest mountain in SouthEast Asia,that is the summit of Hugh Low's Peak at 4095.2metres above the sea level.

Soon you reach the peak,you will have the moment to stay there,approximately 4 hours,so grab the chances capturing all the memorable moments,and also witness the spectacular sunrise so that you will not regret this once in a blue moon unforgettable experience.

After that,you will descend back Laban Rata to have your breakfast.Your check-out of Laban Rata starts your descend to Timpohon gate and thereby your Kinabalu climbing adventure ends.Your lunch will be held at the Liwagu Restaurant and after that you will be transfer back to Kota Kinabalu.

What to bring: Rain gear,wind breakers,warm clothing,hat,gloves,extra thick socks,Torchlight,whistle and drinking water.

* Please note that GUNTING LAGADAN/PANAR LABAN/WARAS HUT RESTHOUSE has basic accomodation,please request sleeping bag at Park registration office.Charges will be at your own account.
